The following statement must be read with care and with great desires for the instruction of God. As this day, January 13, 2021 comes to a close I must confess that my heart is full of terrible anger for the injustice that has fallen upon President Donald Trump. And my anger has been fueled by the fraudulent election results of November 3rd. God has shown me that this anger has been, itself, misguided by my disappointment and tonight He demonstrated that I must now seek His judgment upon those who have perpetrated this evil upon His servant, the President.
Psalms 1-20 (and beyond) are quite revealing as to how God responded to protect Israel and King David, and I have had to ask God, “Will you do the same for America even though this Nation is NOT Israel and President Donald Trump is NOT a King David?” OR is Mr. Trump a King Davd? Is it not possible that Donald Trump has been anointed by God to do what he has done for Israel? I think that is a very real possibility. With that in mind…” The one true God acts in a faithful manner; the Lord’s promise is reliable. He is a shield to all who take shelter in him. Indeed, who is God besides the Lord? Who is a protector besides our God?” Psalm 18:30-31 NASB. So, here we are and the following is NOT a politically-fueled thought, but purely with God in mind.
With all that has happened in our Nation’s Capital over the past 4 years this seems to make more sense:
“Lord, in the morning you will hear me; in the morning I will present my case to you and then wait expectantly for an answer. Certainly you are not a God who approves of evil;
evil people cannot dwell with you. Arrogant people cannot stand in your presence; you hate all who behave wickedly. You destroy liars; the Lord despises violent and deceitful people.” Psalm 5:3-6.
“The Lord approves of the godly, but he hates the wicked and those who love to do violence. May he rain down burning coals and brimstone on the wicked! A whirlwind is what they deserve. Certainly the Lord is just; he rewards godly deeds. The upright will experience his favor.” Psalm 11:5-7.
David’s experience can be and MUST become our own in this time of evil in our Nation. Satan is actively involved in the lives of very bad, evil-doers and it seems far too few of us who are claiming the Name of Jesus think and believe that our God hates both evil and those who participate in evil activity.
Well, folks, I believe in every word…EVERY WORD…found in the pages of God’s Word to be literally true. Twice David writes that God does, indeed, hate those who are evil-doers. And I am asking God, I am imploring the Mighty Name of God to act against those who are attempting to take down our Nation.
If I do not do this and if others who are Believers in Jesus Christ and the trust instruction to put on the full armor of God just as the Apostle Paul writes in Ephesians 5:10-20, we are in worse condition than I previously thought.
We find in these 20+ chapters of Psalms that God provides victory over those who do evil against His people. Well, what occured in November and what is going on now is activity against our Nation and against those who Believe in Jesus Christ as Lord. More often than not Israel was out-numbered and God provided the victory needed for Israel to survive. Well, we, the Church, are outnumbered, vastly so, but God is our Arm-bearer and the battle belongs to Him. We MUST ask Him to act on our behalf in order for us to be able to continue to proclaim the Good News around the world, to fulfill the Great Commission.
No, this is NOT a political statement. This is a spiritual claim for we are at war against Satanic forces…his minions. We MUST pray and ask for God’s guidance and for Him to act on our behalf against powers of evil in the Halls of our Congressional Capitol Building. Not only our Capital is at the center of this battle, our President is in this battle, too.
Am I a fool? Yes, I am a fool for the cause of Christ. This is not a racial conflict. This is a human conflict, a spiritual conflict. This is NOT about me, and not about you, this is about God, and we MUST stand firm in Him alone. We MUST ask for God to intervene… to rain down His power upon these forces of evil…
Jesus is Lord.
